Mother Teresa, the Humanitarian, also known as the "Saint of the
Gutters," devoted over 40 years of her life to the needs of the
orphaned, penniless, and sick people of Calcutta.

A new, innocuously titled book, Mother Teresa: Come Be My Light
(Doubleday), consisting primarily of correspondence between Teresa
and her confessors and superiors over a period of 66 years, provides
the spiritual counterpoint to a life known mostly through its works.
The letters, many of them preserved against her wishes (she had
requested that they be destroyed but was overruled by her church),
reveal that for the last nearly half-century of her life she felt no
presence of God whatsoever — or, as the book's compiler and editor,
the Rev. Brian Kolodiejchuk, writes, "neither in her heart or in the
eucharist."

In a letter to a spiritual confidant, the Rev. Michael van der Peet,
that is only now being made public, she wrote with weary familiarity
of a different Christ, an absent one. "Jesus has a very special love
for you," she assured Van der Peet. "[But] as for me, the silence
and the emptiness is so great, that I look and do not see, — Listen
and do not hear — the tongue moves [in prayer] but does not
speak ... I want you to pray for me — that I let Him have [a] free
hand."

Jesus could not have responded to Mother Teresa. Only God, the
Almighty does. Call on God, the Creator. He will answer! Those who
say that others respond to their prayers are fooled by Satan.
Jesus (peace be on him) was a prophet of God, not god. He was a
devout servant of God Almighty. Jesus was not Lord, but a slave of
God. Those who seek God will find Him in the true teachings of
Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be on them).

The following are some verses from the Holy Quran, the last revealed
Holy Book of God, the only Holy Book that exists in its original
form today.

040.057 Assuredly the creation of the heavens and the earth is a
greater (matter) than the creation of men: Yet most men understand
not.

040.058 Not equal are the blind and those who (clearly) see: Nor
are (equal) those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and
those who do evil. Little do ye learn by admonition!

040.059 The Hour will certainly come: Therein is no doubt: Yet most
men believe not.

040.060 And your Lord says: "Call on Me; I will answer your
(Prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely
find themselves in Hell - in humiliation!"

040.061 It is God Who has made the Night for you, that ye may rest
therein, and the days as that which helps (you) to see. Verily God
is full of Grace and Bounty to men: yet most men give no thanks.

040.062 Such is God, your Lord, the Creator of all things, there is
no god but He: Then how ye are deluded away from the Truth!

040.063 Thus are deluded those who are wont to reject the Signs of
God.

040.064 It is God Who has made for you the earth as a resting
place, and the sky as a canopy, and has given you shape- and made
your shapes beautiful,- and has provided for you Sustenance, of
things pure and good;- such is God your Lord. So Glory to
God, the Lord of the Worlds!

040.065 He is the Living (One): There is no god but He: Call upon
Him, giving Him sincere devotion. Praise be to God, Lord of the
Worlds!

040.066 Say: "I have been forbidden to invoke those whom ye invoke
besides God,- seeing that the Clear Signs have come to me from my
Lord; and I have been commanded to bow (in Islam) to the Lord of the
Worlds."

040.067 It is He Who has created you from dust then from a sperm-
drop, then from a leech-like clot; then does he get you out (into
the light) as a child: then lets you (grow and) reach your age of
full strength; then lets you become old,- though of you there are
some who die before;- and lets you reach a Term appointed; in order
that ye may learn wisdom.

040.068 It is He Who gives Life and Death; and when He decides upon
an affair, He says to it, "Be", and it is.

Short Quotes

Disposition by Ali

He was the most generous of heart, truthful of tongue, softest in disposition, and noble in relationship. He who first set eyes upon him feared him, but he who associated with him loved him. Those who described him would say: 'I have never seen before or after him anyone similar to him, peace be upon him.'
